ImRs stands for Imaginary Rescripting and is a therapy that can be used if you have not properly processed a traumatic experience and the memories hinder your daily life and your mental well-being.
During treatment with ImRs, you go back in your imagination to a bad or traumatic experience from the past and, under the guidance of a therapist, the memory of this excperice will be actively changed. You imagine how you would like the traumatic or bad experience to have gone differently (more positively) and you also imagine how you perform and experience this.
The goal of ImRs is to reduce the emotional impact of this memory and to alleviate its influence on your daily life.
