What do I offer
Very important and at the same time so self-evident: professional skills, knowledge and experience. This, in combination with personal involvement, openness, empathy and warmth.
Based on more than 20 years of knowledge and experience with intake, diagnostics, therapy and treatment, I offer psychological care in the form of short-term treatments, advice and / or guidance in various problems and problem areas. If desired and useful, more extensive (coaching) trajectories are also possible.
Types of treatments and techniques always come about in consultation with you and are also dependent on suitability and ability to work on the specific problem. The treatment can focus on processing, gaining insight and organizing on one hand. On the other hand on support, guidance and learning to (re)knowing and dealing with own feelings, needs, wishes and boundaries. New developments in the field are kept up to date and fitted in as much as possible.
For whom, what, when and how
The basic condition for a meaningful treatment is trust. The so-called ‘click’ between us. For whom: everyone from 18 years to 80 years and older. When and what: the moment you want help with something, you feel the best yourself. Follow your feelings! Not all complaints are clear. It can be expressed in different ways. For example from ‘not feeling comfortable’, to fears, sadness and depression. And/or as a result of recent or longer traumatic experiences.
Some examples of possible complaints for treatment:
Mourning and loss
Negative thinking about yourself
Difficulty standing up for yourself / specify your limits
(Unexplained) physical complaints
2nd / 3rd generation problem
Pregnancy problems in the broadest sense of the word
Compulsive thinking and compulsion.
How: the treatment can take place individually or in relation(s), in Dutch, English and German. The different types of treatments such as cognitive behaviour therapy, talk therapy and / or psycho-education can be used separately or in combination with each other.
