An affect phobia is an excessive fear of (certain) feelings and emotions in yourself or others. This often involves negative or unpleasant feelings, such as anger, sadness, shame, disappointment or despair. You are afraid to allow these feelings and try to suppress and avoid them.

With affect phobia therapy we examine which feelings are difficult for you, what is the cause of a possible blockage, and how we can help you to deal with your feelings better.
