System therapy is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on relationships between people. The starting point for system therapy is that a problem does not stand alone. The environmental factors such as family, social life, work, school, religion and culture influence the problem and everyone involved. Important persons (part of the system) are involved in the therapy from the beginning. Think of your partner, children, brothers and sisters, parents, neighbors, friends or colleagues. The most important and best-known forms of system therapy are relationship and family therapy.
